The DDXi-2051, 2101 and 2161 are the world's first fully integrated, all-digital, high power audio amplifiers that includes a complete set of digital audio processing features. The DDXi ICs combines Apogee's patented DDX® amplification with a powerful audio processor in a single IC. This one-chip solution significantly reduces system cost, size and complexity by eliminating the need for a separate audio processor, digital to analog converter and amplifier chips. These benefits make the DDXi ICs ideal solutions for Digital TVs, CD/DVD mini/micro systems, gaming systems, and multi-media speakers.

The DDXi-2051, 2101 and 2161 ("i" for integrated) combine a 2.1 channel DDX processor with a 40, 60 or 80 watt per channel, high efficiency DDX power stage, respectively. The devices include volume, bass/treble, mixing, equalization, surround sound modes and many other features to enhance audio quality. In addition, the DDXi ICs incorporate Apogee's Automode(TM) technology, which reduces the time to develop full-featured audio products. The DDXi-2101 power outputs can be configured in either high quality DDX® stereo mode or in a 2.1 channel configuration to support products that include a separate subwoofer loudspeaker. Some of the new features include:

ATA-120 Data Sheet
The ATA-120 Class-D Audio Amplifier is a fully integrated monolithic audio amplifier that can provide audio power up to 20 watts @ 10% THD into a 4 speaker. The ATA-120 incorporates a single ended output structure with built-in short circuit and overtemperature protection. This low noise, high performance device delivers the excellent audio quality of a class A/B amplifier while still achieving class-D efficiency greater than 90%.

The DDX-8001 Controller combines an advanced digital audio processor with Apogee’s patented DDX® processing that supports up to eight channels of high efficiency DDX® amplification. Featuring Apogee’s new Automode™, the DDX-8001 revolutionizes audio design with simple and quick pre-select custom settings built into the IC including:

DDX-4100A Controller Data Sheet
The DDX-4100A Controller is a single chip device for implementing complete digital solutions for audio amplification. The device. converts digital audio inputs into 4.1 channels of DDX® outputs to drive Apogee's high efficiency DDX® Power Devices. The DDX-4100A includes integrated preamplifier functions such as bass, treble and EQ, as well as a wide variety of standard interfaces including S/PDIF, I2S, and AC'97. The DDX-4100A provides a gain register for up to 24dB of gain.
