Director of Sensor Products
 
Apogee Technology, Inc. is looking for a Director of Sensor Products with 10-15 years of experience in the sensor and/or electronics industry. The successful candidate will take the leading role in developing the Company's pressure and other sensor products. Responsibilities will include product definition, technology development and/or acquisition, product engineering, qualification, and transition to manufacturing. He or she will also be responsible for building a team to provide technical application support.
 
An advanced engineering degree is desired with direct working knowledge of sensors, their electronics implementation and packaging. The ideal candidate will also have developed sensors for medical applications and have experience with the materials and requirements of biomedical device manufacturing.
 
 
Director of Marketing and Sales
 
Apogee Technology is seeking highly-motivated, experienced person with the experience and capability to find, cultivate, and create business opportunities in the pressure and force sensing market segments. The successful candidate will have strong sales and marketing skills in identifying and developing new markets and customers to meet our aggressive growth plans. The ideal candidate will offer:
 
A demonstrated background in all phases of the business development and sales process including: identification of potential customers, cultivation, proposal support and closure on opportunities.
 
The proven ability to identify new market niches that match our capabilities and to work with our technical staff to develop new processes or products to satisfy growing market needs.
 
A business background with the ability to support development and implementation of a growth
strategy for Apogee.
 
The ability to generate working relationships and negotiate agreements at within the targeted
customer community.
 
Sufficient technical background (pressure/force sensors and assemblies preferred) to enable constructive interface with Program Scientists, Project Engineers, VP’s of Engineering and other community technologists.
 
Existing personal relationships within the target market segments, especially in the automotive and industrial market segments.
 
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present the technology at various trade conferences.
 
This position requires a Bachelors’ degree, preferably in a technical discipline, and a minimum of eight years of experience in sensors or related markets. A M.B.A. degree is a plus. This position may also require extensive travel.
 
 
 
Senior Electrical Design Engineer
 
Apogee is looking for creative, hands-on, electrical engineer with 5+ years experience in electronics to take a lead role in the development of a electronics to support the companies emerging MEMS pressure and other sensor products.
 
The successful candidate will have responsibility for leading the development of the electronics for the company's MEMS sensor product line. The person should have experience in both analog and digital circuit design, ADC and DACs, compensation approaches, and sensor applications. Responsibilities include full design ownership of product electronics, all related simulations, working with applications staff and evaluation and test engineers. Will be actively involved in product definition and related customer visits/interactions. Needs strong skills in analog and digital tools including simulation software.
 
 
 
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
 
Apogee Technology is seeking highly-motivated, experienced design engineers with the experience and capability to design, develop, and enhance pressure and force sensors and systems.
 
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of theoretical sciences relating to silicon sensing technologies as well as an understanding of mechanical package design, electrical circuits, testing procedures and prototyping. The position requires strong project management and organization skills. The ideal candidate will be able to develop and prototype sensors and systems as well as assist customers with applications, generate reports and proposals, manage contracts, and analyze and present results. The position requires the ability to interact well with customers and will require occasional travel to customer locations. The position will be responsible for management of programs and projects on many levels, including the development of interfaces between sensors, electronics, computers, and virtual instrument software, and optical and electronic instrumentation. Good communications skills and the ability to respond in a rapidly growing, innovative organization are essential.
 
Positions open to Mechanical and Electrical engineers, or similar Science/Engineering graduates, MS degree preferred.
 
 
 
Mechanical/Test Engineering Technician
 
This full-time position involves the traditional duties associated with a mechanical engineering technician that is involved with experimental design and development. These duties include, but are not limited to, the designing and building of small test fixtures, the execution of laboratory tests under the direction of the responsible engineer / scientist, the preparation of test data, the building of prototype systems and components, and the documentation of the above.
